My Cooking - Stew

My family in Singapore loves using McCormick Beef Stew seasoning mix and always gets me to send some since they have stopped selling them over there. It is really a very tasty seasoning, I use it myself occasionally with beef cubes and even chicken.

My Cooking - Curry Chicken for Packed Lunch

Curry Chicken! Mmmmmmmm ... so yummy!

Since I was off from work the past 2 days, I stayed home to rest because my feet has been hurting due to the fact that being in retail, my job requires me to stand and walk around, no sitting down except during our breaks.

Oh well, back to my favorite topic which is food, I decided to make Curry Chicken with the ready-made curry pastes Mom got me from Singapore, all I had to do was add coconut milk and the chicken, really easy and taste so good! I have 3 packed lunches in the freezer now so all I need to do is grab and go!

Surprisingly when I was cooking, the spiciness didn't get to the Hubby, he didn't run to the room to take cover like the last time when I made the curry beef, in fact he said the curry smell really good but of course he don't dare to try lah ... hahaha!

Hubby's Cooking - Stir-fry Chicken and Vegetables with Teriyaki Sauce

Ha! The hubby did stir-frying again! He made stir-fry Chicken and Vegetables with teriyaki sauce. Usually I get home much later than him, he packs my dinner in a container and all I need to do is heat up in the microwave and dig in!

My Cooking - Pork, Beef, Fish and Chicken!

Today being another off day for us, the hubby and I went out to do the taxes since the filing deadline is right around the corner, after that I went to get a manicure/pedicure cos my feet were beginning to look like claws ... hahaha. When I got home, I decided to make some food to store so I can bring lunch to work for the next few days.

I was so hungry and had to settle that 'growling' sound in my belly so I made a Ham Omelette Sandwich whilst doing prep work for the rest of the dishes.

Next I made Indonesian Beef Rendang Curry using spices from the Asian Home Gourmet. Whilst cooking, the spicy smell got to the hubby who was coughing non-stop till he ran and took refuge in the bedroom ... hahaha!

After that I boiled some whole wheat pasta, napa cabbage 白菜 and baked fish with mushrooms.

Last but not least, for dinner I baked a chicken and made some flavored rice.

I am happy lunch has been packed for the next few days ... phew! I also realised that I had actually cooked 4 different kinds of meat, ham which is pork, beef, fish and chicken today!

NYC - Midtown - Street Food Cart

Tried the chicken over rice and also chicken gyro from another street cart vendor in midtown (50 Street/6 Avenue) who happens to be out only during the night time and his food is good, I personally thinks they were more delicious and the presentation was much better than the other street vendor food I had before.

NYC - Midtown - Liberty Deli & Pizzeria

Near my job, there's Libery Deli & Pizzeria, the food is good and nice service.

Cheese Burger Deluxe - $5.95

Decent sized cheeseburger consisted of beef patty with 2 slices of cheese in between bun, Vegetables and pickle on the side with fries.

Roast Chicken with Potatoes - $7.50

The Chicken was good, nice seasonings and the meat was not too dry. I am not a potato fan but the potatoe wedges tasted pretty good.
