After learning from my lovely neighbor, Ms Meta on how to make baked macaroni and cheese, I decided to make it at home and it was a success ... woo hoo!

My Cooking - Korean Spicy Seafood Noodle
Noodles ... yummmyyyyy! I luv noodles, I have them in soup or dry anytime (I see Ms Karen agreeing with me on that ... ha! Yes, we both luv our noodles). On my last off day, I wasn't feeling too well and wanted something simple for lunch, since I had some Shin Ramyum noodles 辛拉麵, frozen mixed seafood and lettuce, I threw them together and totally enjoyed slurping up the noodles, simple yet tasty ... heh heh.

My Cooking - 5 Dishes in 1.5 Hours ....
Last evening, I was in the mood for cooking so I end up making 5 dishes in 1.5 hours, am I a fast cook? ... heh heh Not all were for last night though, for dinner I did Stir-fry Chicken with Potatoes, Shrimp with Scrambled Eggs and Stir-fry Green Squash with Ground Turkey and Tofu.

As for the Ground Beef in Spaghetti Sauce and also Ground Beef in Baked Beans, they are made for our convenience for other nights since we are working the next 5 days.

My Cooking - Steak with Potato Gratin aka Scalloped Potatoes and Mixed Vegetables
Today being adventurous, I did my 1st attempt at making Potato Gratin aka Scalloped Potato, I think I probably added a little too much milk but it turned out really good. I peeled the skin of the potatoes then sliced and boiled them till tender and laid them in a small baking tray. For the mixture, bring the milk, shredded cheese, chopped onions and seasonings mixture to boil and pour over the potatoes before putting in the oven to bake for about 30 mins (shorter time needed since the potatoes were already cooked). When done, take the tray out and spread more shredded cheese over the top, bake for another 5 minutes till the cheese melts and is ready to be served.
I served the potato gratin with steak and mixed vegetables which made the hubby super duper happy since we haven't had steak for awhile. He tried the potato gratin and said it tasted really good, I am glad he enjoyed dinner.

My Cooking - Me Like Brown Rice
Brown Rice not only taste good (at least to me) but it's healthy too. I have attempted to cook brown rice for many times but never successful probably because the water measurement was not right. However, I tried to make it again last 2 days and I finally made it right! YAY!Since I know the family will not like brown rice, I use them only for my packed lunches.
My Cooking - Egg Drop Soup
As per the Hubby's request ... again, he wanted my home-made egg drop soup, since he does the cooking during the days that I work, I said ok which made him very happy. I added tofu in my share and it was so good!
My Cooking - Curry Chicken for Packed Lunch

Curry Chicken! Mmmmmmmm ... so yummy!
Since I was off from work the past 2 days, I stayed home to rest because my feet has been hurting due to the fact that being in retail, my job requires me to stand and walk around, no sitting down except during our breaks.
Oh well, back to my favorite topic which is food, I decided to make Curry Chicken with the ready-made curry pastes Mom got me from Singapore, all I had to do was add coconut milk and the chicken, really easy and taste so good! I have 3 packed lunches in the freezer now so all I need to do is grab and go!
Surprisingly when I was cooking, the spiciness didn't get to the Hubby, he didn't run to the room to take cover like the last time when I made the curry beef, in fact he said the curry smell really good but of course he don't dare to try lah ... hahaha!

My Cooking - Pork, Beef, Fish and Chicken!
Today being another off day for us, the hubby and I went out to do the taxes since the filing deadline is right around the corner, after that I went to get a manicure/pedicure cos my feet were beginning to look like claws ... hahaha. When I got home, I decided to make some food to store so I can bring lunch to work for the next few days.
I was so hungry and had to settle that 'growling' sound in my belly so I made a Ham Omelette Sandwich whilst doing prep work for the rest of the dishes.

Next I made Indonesian Beef Rendang Curry
using spices from the Asian Home Gourmet. Whilst cooking, the spicy smell got to the hubby who was coughing non-stop till he ran and took refuge in the bedroom ... hahaha!

After that I boiled some whole wheat pasta, napa cabbage 白菜 and baked fish with mushrooms.

Last but not least, for dinner I baked a chicken and made some flavored rice.

I am happy lunch has been packed for the next few days ... phew! I also realised that I had actually cooked 4 different kinds of meat, ham which is pork, beef, fish and chicken today!
