My Cooking - Stew

My family in Singapore loves using McCormick Beef Stew seasoning mix and always gets me to send some since they have stopped selling them over there. It is really a very tasty seasoning, I use it myself occasionally with beef cubes and even chicken.

NYC - Midtown - Cosi and Toasties

I bring food from home to work nowadays but out of 5 days I would buy food on one of the days, here's what I had the past 2 weeks ...

Cosi

New York, NY10036
Between 5th Avenue & 6th Avenue
Tek: 212-265-7579

Wasabi Roast Beef - Roast beef, pickled ginger, shredded romaine, wasabi mayonnaise & sesame soy glaze on delicious warm flatbread.
(It was my first time at Cosi and I did enjoy the sandwich, tasted yummy.)

Toasties

Pastrami with creamed spinach and brussel sprouts.
(Food still as good but portions seems to have shrunken though pricing still same ... bummer!)

My Cooking - Pork, Beef, Fish and Chicken!

Today being another off day for us, the hubby and I went out to do the taxes since the filing deadline is right around the corner, after that I went to get a manicure/pedicure cos my feet were beginning to look like claws ... hahaha. When I got home, I decided to make some food to store so I can bring lunch to work for the next few days.

I was so hungry and had to settle that 'growling' sound in my belly so I made a Ham Omelette Sandwich whilst doing prep work for the rest of the dishes.

Next I made Indonesian Beef Rendang Curry using spices from the Asian Home Gourmet. Whilst cooking, the spicy smell got to the hubby who was coughing non-stop till he ran and took refuge in the bedroom ... hahaha!

After that I boiled some whole wheat pasta, napa cabbage 白菜 and baked fish with mushrooms.

Last but not least, for dinner I baked a chicken and made some flavored rice.

I am happy lunch has been packed for the next few days ... phew! I also realised that I had actually cooked 4 different kinds of meat, ham which is pork, beef, fish and chicken today!

My Cooking - Cornbread over Ground Meat cooked with Tomato & Onions in Tomato Sauce

Today I made dinner as it's my off day so I asked the hubby what he wanted for dinner lah since I had made him the wrap for lunch, he wanted the cornbread over ground meat dish that I used to call Tamale Pie which I haven't made for some time. I used chopped tomato and tomato sauce with lots of onions and garlic, and it was so much better cos it wasn't too sweet like when I used baked beans.

NYC - Midtown - Manhattan Mall - Arby's

YAY!Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket Got to eat my favorite Arby’s sandwich at Manhattan Mall’s food court! So good, so yummilicious! I got the Super Roast Beef Comb - $5.99 which had the sandwich, curly fries and a soda. The sesame buns was soft and not dry at all, the roast beef tasty and seems to melt in the mouth, vegetables very fresh and neatly piled on top of the roast beef. The curly fries were good, very crispy, and a little salty but everything else made up for that … heh heh.Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket

My Cooking - Beef with Potato

Still feeling kinda icky Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket, I wasn't really in the mood to do any cooking but then again I didn't want any takeout so I whipped up Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket a new dish which consisted of sliced beef and potatos, not forgetting lots of chopped garlic and onion. Instead of using the usual oyster sauce & soy sauce, I used the Goya Adobo, Goya Sazon and lots of pepper. Wasn't sure if the family was going to like it, however after seeing them go for one helping after another, I can tell they enjoyed the dish and this is what the hubby said "Well, it's different and it is so good."Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
