Today I went shopping in the city cos Old Navy's 40% sale for kids last day mah so much try to grab stuff for my darlings in Singapore. End up shopping for myself at other stores also lah ... hahaha, what's new right ladies!

On my way home, I dropped by Lunch Box Buffet at 34st to get food to take to work for lunch tomorrow and also to check out their new, Fay Da Bakery and end up getting goodies for the hubby and myself ... heh heh. Yes, I am greedy!

NYC - Midtown - Kashmir Restaurant

Indian Buffet (All-You-Can-Eat) only $7.99 ... so cheap and so delicious! The curry was so tasty and yummy, I ate so much till I almost popped! The Naan was soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. We're definitely going back again soon!

Food was so-so, a few dishes were nice and some were tasteless, can't have it all ... heh heh. Quite a good place for group gatherings, great location since it is near Times Square.

NYC - Midtown - D & S Market Place

When I was working in midtown at 56th Street, I liked going to D & S Market Place for their buffet spread by weight, everything's always so yummy and the people working there ever so friendly. Recently I was around that area and decided to have lunch there, as usual the food tasted so good and best of all the staff remembered me!

NYC - Midtown - Lunch Box Buffet

My friend and I always go to Lunch Box Buffet whenever we're hanging out around 34th Street because their food is fresh and super cheap for midtown standards. Though for the past few months, their standard had dipped a little bit but we gave them our supports no matter what, good thing during our last visit, they had improved so for sure we'll be back very soon.

NYC - Midtown - International Food House Restaurant & Buffet

After reading about the $8.95 AYCE (All You Can Eat) Spanish food buffet at International Food House Restaurant & Buffet from midtownlunch.com, my friend, Anne and I made our merry way there last week.

We got there around lunch time and it was packed, well practically a madhouse, it’s a good thing we didn’t wait long for a table because a lot of people were taking out instead of sitting in the restaurant. We were ushered to our teeny little table and within a few minutes the waiter told us to go ahead with the buffet so off we went to ATTACK! … heh heh. The wide spread buffet had choices ranging from stewed and roasted meat (beef, pork, chicken & goat), vegetables, salad and dessert. Most of the foods were mislabeled so you’d have to play the guessing game and figure out some of the items. The food was tasty, meats were tender, I liked the roasted pork, fried fish and beef tripe soup the best.

The service staffs were ok except for one of the waitresses who thinks she is ‘Miss Thang’, she wasn’t happy with us because we took pictures of the buffet spread and also we took our time to eat slowly, she was always glaring at us so much that I thought her eyeballs were going to spit fire … hahaha. We just happily continued to stuff our faces; I bet that made her even angrier but who cares … muahaha!

We enjoyed the food and our bellies were happy. Do take note that when you ask for water, they will tell you only bottled ones will be served meaning you have to pay. They also added the 15% service charge to you bill. The meal was overall cheap and good. If you want to sit in to eat, try to avoid the lunch crowd.

NYC - Bronx - Merry Land Restaurant

Kinda dingy looking restaurant serving eat-all-you-can Chinese-America buffet but you can also order dishes too. The staff are not that friendly and the food is so-so. They even put up notices saying maximum you can sit in to eat is 2 hours, how lame, that is pathetic. I ate there like a couple of times and have never been back there since King Buffet which is bigger, cleaner, serves better food and better service opened nearer to our home.

NYC - South Bronx - King Buffet

King Buffet opened near our home 2 years ago, I did check it out then but haven’t been back since till yesterday when Miss A came for a visit. After a walk in the park, we went to pig out at King’s then went around the shopping area. We enjoyed the food very much, the cook made sure the buffet spread was replenished and the service staff kept the place clean. One dish we kept going to and fro for was the fried chicken wings, they were simply delicious, couldn’t get enough of that … haha! We were also quite impressed with the Hot & Sour soup because it is quite hard to find really nice ones here. The bill came up to $13 incl. tax for 2 persons which was a really good deal for an ‘all you can eat buffet’. We will sure be back for another meal soon!

NYC - Midtown - Lunch Box Buffet

When the sun got too hotfor us at Coney Island, we hopped back on the subway and headed back to the city where we walked around for abit before heading over to Lunch Box Buffet at 34th Street for dinner. It is one of the cheaper eateries around that area, imagine just $4 (since it was after 4pm) for 5 items from the Chinese American buffet. For lunch it would have been $5. They have drinks for $1 to $2 each. Now they have a selection of soup and also desserts for $1.50 per bowl. Their selection of buffet includes, fried rice, lo mien, mai fun, various kind hot & cold vegetables, sweet & sour pork to pork ribs, fried & steam fish, sauteed shrimps, from Kung Pao Chicken to fried chicken drumsticks, tofu cooked in different ways, stir-fry beef with broccoli, etc, you'd have to go there to check out their various kind of dishes as they change the menu everyday. They have ample seatings on the ground floor and 2nd level plus they keep the eatery nice and clean.

After church today, I decided to have soul food today so I made my way from the Bronx to Harlem and went to Manna's restaurant for their wide variety of buffet, I was spoilt for choice, being a greedy piggy, I wanted to eat EVERYTHING and I mean it ... haha but to avoid embarrassing myself ... hee hee ... I only picked up a few items of mac & cheese, collard green, okra aka ladies finger + corn in tomato sauce, oxtail, swordfish and souther fried chicken, they were really yummy ... BURP!

NYC - Midtown - Woorijip - Korean buffet

I was in the mood for korean food today and decided to go to Woorijip in Korean Town (NYC) since they have a wide selection of hot food buffet with very reasonable pricing. My plate consisted of pork belly, california roll, spicy squid, soy sauce tofu, jap chae and spicy rice cakes which was so spicy, I end up gulping down the whole bottle of green tea ... ha! The meal was good ... BURP!
