NYC - Midtown - Yushi Bento Bar New York

Yushi Bento Bar New York, my new found little Japanese eatery, clean, stylish decor, friendly service and fresh Japanese food and desserts, I totally dig this place now. I enjoyed the Yushi’s Greatest Hits which is a combination bento box of tuna and salmon sushi, tuna, salmon, and crab maki and salmon sashimi at $12.95. After reading about the Peking Duck Maki Roll - $4.95 from Midtownlunch.com, being a big fan of Peking duck, I just had to try, it was interesting, the filling was Peking duck with scallions and cucumber, not much taste but it goes well with the Yushi Hoisin Sauce, I find that very creative. I liked the refreshing fruit tea and also the Japanese Green Tea Pannacotta which comes in cute little shot glasses at $1.95. The tea was sugarfree and the pannacotta was not sweet which is the way I like.

NYC - Midtown - Yummy Sushi

For lunch, I had wanted to go to Qdoba today but my friend wanted to go to Yummy Sushi in Rockefellar so I went along and got my food from there too. I had the Triple Spicy (Tuna, Salmon, Yellow Tail) - $8.95 and Garden Fresh Salad - $3.50 which was cheap and so good with the Ginger Dressing. I am glad I gave them a 2nd chance which means I will be back again ... heh heh.

After reading about Naruto Sushi from MidtownLunch sometime ago, I was curious where they were located till when I started at my job then I realised they are right next door to us! YAY!!! So far I have tried only their bento boxes and appetizers, have yet to try the sushi. I have to say their food is good and reasonable pricing cos the bento boxes are USD$6.50 plus free miso soup. Service is great too!

NYC - Brooklyn - Masu Masu

It was a fun and again belly filled day for me, got invited to a really nice restaurant named Masu Masu in Brooklyn. It was a long commute on the subway, about 1 hr 45 mins from the Bronx to Brooklyn but it sure was worth the trip cos the food was simply delicious. Masu Masu is a sushi asian fusion restaurant, it has the best of both worlds where you can have a taste of Japanese and Malaysian food. We had sashimi, sushi, rolls, steamed fish, deep-fried sweet & sour fish, char kway teow 炒粿條, seafood hor fun 海鲜河粉, coconut pudding and green tea ice-cream, everyone sure enjoyed the meal plus I even got to take home Hainanese chicken rice 海南鸡饭 and that tasted really really good!

Found these old pictures from my birthday last year, went with some friends to Mitoushi, a Japanese restaurant in Brooklyn, NY. The sushi was very fresh and I liked especially the Oyster shots, so slimy but taste so gooooood.
