NYC - Chinatown - Canal Seafood Restaurant

Was in the mood for some congee so I decided to try this Chinese eatery along Canal Street name Canal Seafood Restaurant (Formerly known as 266 Canal Fun Corp). I ordered the Century egg and Lean Pork congee (皮蛋瘦肉粥) and on the side an order of Char Siew (叉燒) & Roast Pig (火肉). The location is great and easily spotted, the inside is big with lots of seating area however the congee was kinda disappointing as it was too watery, the char siew & roast pig was tasty but very pricey so I doubt I will be back again.Canal Seafood Restaurant

Congee You Tiao (Fried Dough)

As usual, whenever Karen comes to NY, she would want her mee pok, congee and chinese bun fix at NY Chinatown. We first went to Bo Ky Restaurant where she and I had mee pok with fish dumplings while Bruce had Lemongrass steak with rice. On the side we also had the prawn rolls and deep fried tofu ... that was sooooooooo good ... burp! After that, we proceeded to Hon Wong to have some congee, you tiao (fried dough) and dumplings ... hahaha, yes we are greedy and we love it!

It was overall a great weekend spent with the Ryans, come back for visit soon ok!
